DDC Kathua launches career guidance magazine under BBBP

KATHUA, Mar 16: Social Welfare Department in collaboration with District Employment & Counselling Centre today launched a career guidance magazine for girls under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme.
The magazine was launched by District Development Commissioner, O P Bhagat along with SSP, Dr. Shailendra Mishra.
At the outset, the DDC highlighted various career options available to students after completing their education and asked them to approach Employment and Social Welfare offices to get information about various self employment schemes.
It was informed that 1200 magazines have been printed and these will be distributed by the Education department among the girl students of schools and colleges, free of cost.
"These kinds of magazines help the students in overcoming the dilemma related to career choices after completing their schooling. The District Administration understands this basic problem and hence came forward with this brief introductory magazine listing some of the popular as well as unique career options available in today`s scenario," the DDC said. ADCs of Kathua, Billawar and Basohli, ACR, PO, ICDS, DSWO, CPO, CMO, DEPO and Tehsildars were also present at the launch program.
