Despite closure, private school forces students to buy books, uniform | | | Early times report
Udhampur, Mar 18: Flouting norms a reputed school in the heart of Jammu city is pressurizing parents of students to buy books and uniforms immediately. This development is noticed at a time when J&K government has ordered closure of all the educational institutions as a preventive measure to safeguard from dreaded Coronavirus infractions. “We are being send messages and phone calls by the school authorities to buy the uniforms and books soon,” a mother of a girl student of that school informed on the condition of anonymity. Relatives of some other students too had similar complaints against the school. It is pertinent to mention here two schools were sealed in Samba district for flouting norms of closure two days back. However, the parents have urged the educational authorities and government to look into the matter as there is no prudence in buying books and uniforms till schools are closed. Despite repeated attempts to Director of School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta but she failed to respond of this reporter. |
