Youth made over 300 masks, distributed among poor | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: In view of deadly corona virus threat, volunteers from Udhampur are turning their skills to help fight the new Cornona virus. These volunteers have sewed Khaddi protective face masks for those who can't access or afford them. Vikas Kumar from ward no 21 Udhampur with the help of family and friends started sewing mask in his own house and after making mask he distributed the same for free to the poor masses. While talking to ET Vikas said, "I am working in a private company as MR and during field visits noticed that the price of surgical masks is out of reach of ordinary citizens especially poor". He further said that he talked with NRI company Director, who being impressed by the idea provided raw materials. "After discussing it with family and friends and everyone supported me and during free time, make masks and distributed it free of cost to poor", he said. More than 300 masks have so far been distributed by this group to the poor masses and more would be distributed in near future. |
