| JMC conducts thematic cleanliness | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 23: Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted thematic cleanliness & fumigation drive alongwith spray of sodium hypo chlorite solution in view of Covid ‘19. The areas covered today include Gujjar Nagar /Tawi bridge /Qasim nagar /parts of Bahu Fort area/ Channi Rama/Narwal/Rajiv Basti/ Backside of Wave Mall etc. During the drive desilting was also done in nallah & deep drains falling in these areas & huge dumps of unclaimed C & D waste & garbage also removed so as to give clean & healthy atmosphere & improved sanitation to the general public. Apart from daily/routine lifting of garbage from entire Jammu Municipal Corporation areas , more than 100MT of garbage/silt including C & D waste has also been collected & Transported to the dumping site at kot bhalwal. In addition simultaneous desilting was also carried out in kunj vihar sec 4 nanak landoi choi nallah & Kabir colony nallah in which 300MT of silt was removed in day long exercise. Moreover, dedicated teams had been made for cleanliness & spraying at designated quarantine centers, Hospitals, Railway Station & Bus Stand alongwith the routine spraying at all high risk location within the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Jammu Municipal Corporation deployed both men & machinery for special drive conducted on the directions of Avni Lavasa .IAS comm. & overall supervision of Tinna Mahajan KAS, Secretary JMC. The deployment include 6no JCB /12 tippers/ 4 fogging machines/ spraying pumps/35 nallah labour & 150 skcs . |
