Unhygienic washroom, littered garbage in premises exposes its casual approach Insanitation in BSNL Office Rajouri irks visitors 3/23/2020 11:31:53 PM ANKIT KESSAR EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Mar 23: The apathetic approach of the administration of Bharatiya Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Office at Rajouri can be gauged from the fact that the entire premises has been grappling with insanitation creating inconvenience for visitors as well for the staff. Sources told Early Times that at a time when entire country has been facing Coronavirus pandemic and various advisories are being issued to keep cleanliness but in case of BSNL Office Rajouri, it seems that these instructions hardly matters for its administration. “The washroom in the office premise is highly dirty, unhygienic and its septic tank has been overflowing which emanate foul smell making it unbearable for the visitors, who comes to deposit their phone bills,” alleged visitors. They further alleged that heaps of garbage can be seen lying unattended in the premise inviting flies and mosquitoes, which can cause disease among people. “Water storage tanks were never cleaned making water contaminated which is not fit to drink while thick grass has grown in the compound, which has not been trimmed since long. BSNL staff is the worst sufferer of this inhuman condition prevailing in the office, who face huge difficulty in discharging their duties as the washroom is just near the exchange where employees sit. The height of negligence on the part of administration can be seen that there is huge dump of garbage just in front of TDE Office. TDE Rajouri, Tushar, when contacted said that he can’t do anything in this connection. “We have asked to the civil wing in Jammu regarding this issue but they have not come till date to resolve it,” he said.
