Early times report

Udhampur, Mar 23: Bridge over a rivulet has become dire need of some people who are forced to cross the rivulet by entering into the water and in doing so some lives have been lost in last some years.
Kud Nallah in outskirts of Chenani in Udhampur town is the rivulet which is crossed daily by the people of Ella, Bie , Bani Sangam , kharuba villages to reach Chenani for various purposes. Unfortunately the rivulet has no bridge and villagers many times cross it by entering into waters.
Some men of our village were drowned in the Nallah some years ago in rainy season while crossing it,” a local of Bie village told to early times reporter adding that those were not the sole deaths in the water of the rivulet. “Students, daily commuters, wage earners and others have to cross the kud nallah daily to reach Chenani and other areas and a bridge over the Nallah is urgently required “, another locals informed to early times. We have urged to the DC Udhampur Piyush singla as well as concerned authorities to look into the matter urgently so that the people may heave a sigh of relief.
