Demand to exempt clerical employees to submit salary bills
3/27/2020 9:56:08 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 27: Employees have demanded the exemption of clerical employees entrusted with the preparation and drawl of salary bills for one day so that they would be able to submit salary bills to treasuries so that employees get salary on time.
Senior Trade Union leader and President, Teacher’s Welfare Association, Jasmeet Singh Madaan urged Lt Governor to exempt these employes.
Already, the single hand earning employees are facing acute financial crisis as the February pay of most of the employees are deducted in Income Tax and in view of shutdown, they are finding it difficult to make their both ends meet. Already the Govt. has issued the circular regarding the smooth payment of pension which indeed is a very welcome step, Madaan said.
Keeping in view the present scenario of shutdown, Madaan urged Lt Governor to make some arrangements in this respect for Government employees too.
