K P relief holders demand 2 months cash assistance in advance | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 27: Kashmiri Pandit migrant relief holders have demanded release of 2 months cash assistance and ration in advance ahead of COVID 19 threat which has led a number of people jobless due to lockdown were struggling with bare hands to mitigate the day to day domestic exigencies . While issuing a press statement here BJP Kashmir Displaced District president,T K Bhat and genetal secretary Vinod Pandita have urged the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner for migrants, T K Bhat that most of the relief holders are sitting idle due to lockdown who were doing some private jobs for survival of their families have came to a standstill as threat of COVID-19 was looming large across the globe. In order to make both ends meet in such state of affairs we pray to release their cash assistance and ration atleast for two months as special case in advance on humanitarian grounds. In another statement social activist Sunil Pandita urged the RRC to take necessary measures to sanitize migrant camps including Jagti camp which is a largest camp in Jammu besides providing of all medical facilities for the people. An ambulance for emergency purposes in the camp be also granted Sunil further added. |
