Amid lockdown Jammu celebrates Ram Navmi with fervour, no ‘saakh’ immersion | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 2: Jammu on Thursday celebrated Ram Navami with enthusiasm and religious fervour amidst lockdown while administration restricted movement along river Tawi which prevented people from immersion of ‘saakh’ on the last day of the Navratras. People by staying indoors, celebrated the occasion by performing all rituals. They performed ‘kanjak pujan’ and distributed sweets, ‘halwa-puri’, coconut and applied ‘Tilak’ to girl child within their localities while there was no hustle bustle due to complete lockdown in view of coronavirus.’s welfare programmes are envisaged which ultimately benefit community as a whole. |
