CMO Kishtwar takes 2-day off amid pandemic, visits Jammu | Administration forgets to put him under quarantine | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Apr 16: Chief Medical Officer Kishtwar, who recently visited Jammu, was not put under quarantine after he returned to Kishtwar District. Sources told Early Times that the CMO spent two days in Jammu despite the fact that government has suspended all types of leave to the employees— particularly the health officials who are directly involved in treatment and measures towards awareness and its precautions. “Kishtwar administration has been putting people all the people entering the district under quarantine. How come the CMO was spared,” asked a source. “He want on 2-day leave. First of all who gave him permission to leave the station during this epidemic when more than 50 people have turned positive for COVID-19 in Jammu province alone with the majority of cases being in Jammu District,” the source asked. The Health Department, according to a source, had also put a lady doctor and her family under quarantine after she returned from Jammu. A woman, who returned from Jammu, along with her one and half month old baby, has been under quarantine since March 2. According to her family she has not been released till date. |
