172 completed surveillance period, 375 till date in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Apr 19: As a major boost towards the fight against coronavirus in Kishtwar District, 172 more people today completed the surveillance period since April 15 thus taking the overall tally to 375 persons who had so far completed 14 days Quarantine period and 14 days surveillance period.
Beside the number of persons under Quarantine, surveillance in Kishtwar District has also drastically comes down to 245 against 485 on April 15.
Speaking to Early Times, Dy CMO Kishtwar, Dr Mohammad Fareed Butt informed that 177 persons are under Quarantine in Kishtwar Medical block which include 100 persons under active surveillance, 35 persons under administrative Quarantine and 38persons under Home Quarantine added that there are only 4 persons under Hospital Quarantine as of today.
In Medical block Chatroo over all 64 persons are under Quarantine & surveillance, 21 persons are under Home quarantine, 35 under active surveillance and 8 persons under Administrative Quarantine.
In Medical block Padder, 5 persons are under home quarantine, 45 persons are under active surveillance and no persons in Padder block is now under Administrative Quarantine and in Medical block Dachhan, 3 persons are under home quarantine, 44 persons under active surveillance while no person is under Administrative surveillance or under Hospital Quarantine in Dachhan block.
Dy CMO further said that all the persons under administrative quarantine were kept at ANMT School Kishtwar (7), Hospital Quarantine (4), Kishtwar hotel (7), Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostel Chatroo (8), Himalayan Cultural Society Padder (3), Old Hospital (3) and Bursar House NHPC (8), Blue Sapphire Hotel (9) & Doctors Quarter (1).
Dr. Fareed said that in next few days— out of 345 persons kept under active surveillance and quarantine will come down— this will relieve the major burden from the administration and law enforcement agencies.
He said that all the left out 345 persons are healthy added that their health parameters are regularly being monitored.
Dy. CMO also warned the people not to be over enthusiastic and advise them to stay indoors and maintain social distance as well as use masks and sensitizers to stop the spread of the virus.
He said that people must cooperate with administration and advise the people to report travel history at identified help centers. He further urged the people to follow the guidelines and stay at home.
