Jammu, May 8: Professor Vasudev Sharma has been appointed as the first Director of Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranbir Campus, Kot-Bhalwal, Jammu. On occasion Sanskrit Scholar Mahant Rohit Shastri said that Sanskrit is not only a language, it is the soul of Indian culture and heritage. Moreover he added that Prof. Dr. Vasudev Sharma is a good administrator and on becoming the director sanskrit language can be promote more in J&K, he will work more hard for the upliftment of sanskrit language. On occasion Prof. Dr. Vasudev said three institutions which are being converted to Central Sanskrit Universities are Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, New Delhi, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati. These three Sanskrit Universities were given the status of Deemed Universities. Sanskrit dignitaries Bishan Dass, Suman Lal Shastri, Deepak Shastri and Rohit Seth were present on this occasion.
