| Man arrested in attempt to murder wife | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 11; Police on Monday arrested a man for attempting murder of his wife in Kanhachak area here on city outskirts. Police spokesman here said that information was received through Primary Health Centre Mishriwala that one lady namely Arti Devi of Deharan was admitted in injured condition following which investigating officer was deputed for recording the statement.
“Injured lady in her statement alleged that this morning her husband identified as Ashwani Kumar with an intention of an attempt to murder, attacked on her head and shoulder with a sharp-edged weapon (Parthi) and she received multiple injuries,” police spokesman here said. The spokesman added that injured lady raised an alarm for help and some locals rushed to the spot and rescued her.
“Acting on her statement, a case was registered and investigation initiated,” said the spokesman adding that the accused was arrested by the police team thereafter. |
