RAMBAN, May 20: Jammu and Kashmir flourish with splendid beauty and many religious places which attracts thousands of people to get spiritual bliss of these religious places. One of the emerging pilgrimage tourist destinations is Chamunda Mata situated at Sarvadhar Tehsil Pogal Paristan of District Ramban.
Every year annual Charri Mubarak Yatra of Chamunda Mata is being organized by Rajeev Charak, yatra leaves from Bagh-e Bahu Jammu for Sarvadhar Tehsil Pogal Paristan with traditional fervour and gaiety.
Chairman Shri Chamunda Mata Committee Sarvadhar Jaswant Singh Katoch said that the Committee members has approached to the government many times to promote tourism in the areas in different platform and finally the struggle of the committee members yielded fruitful results. In this regard members of the committee also met with higher authorities.
He further said that the long pending demands of the Chamunda Mata Committee has gained the momentum as director Tourism has requested Deputy Commissioner Ramban to identify the suitable land chunk( State land ) for construction of infrastructure at Gogli Dhar, Suinsari, Pogal etc to facilitate lakhs of devotees and to promote tourism in the areas. Katoch thanked the government and tourism department for initiating the process for long pending demand of the people of the tehsil. |
