EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 20: ASKPC has appealed to the Lt Governor J&K UT that in order to carry out the symbolic prayers at Mata Khir Bhawani Tullamulla, Manzgam, Tikar, Devsar and Logripura, a group of three community members from Jammu, for each of the Asthapans, may be allowed to proceed by providing the necessary permission, transport facilities and related arrangements. ASKPC president Ravinder Raina said that the shrines of Mata Raginya Devi at Tulla Mulla (better known as Khir Bhawani Temple), Manzgam, Tikar, Devsar and Logripura are the symbols of reverence and deep faith for the Kashmiri Pandit community. Rain said that because of Covid-19 pandemic and resultant lockdown with restriction of movement and assembly of people, the traditional community celebrations shall not be held at these temples on the occasion of Mela Khir Bhawani on Zeashta Ashtami, which falls on 30th May this year. It is therefore urged upon the administration to allow three community members to perform symbolic prayers on the occasion, he added. |
