BMS submits memorandum to President of India | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 20: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has submitted a memorandum to President of India through District administration in view of the nationwide call given by the central leadership and has opposed the central govt’s move for suspension of labour laws. BMS has criticized the central Govt for giving silent consent to state govt’s. for unilaterally changing statuary provisions under different labour laws and numbers of states has enhanced daily duty hours from 8 to 12 hours in violation of ILO 47 convention and Factory act passed by the Indian parliament. It opined the step will increase unemployment, female workers will be discouraged in employment further it will affect the health of the workers. BMS alleged that let the Govt made it clear on what basis or finding of the report of any committee which had been constituted by the parliament for to go and look after the a reasons /factors responsible for failure of any industry or business due to labour. Ashok Choudhary State General Secretary, Subash Verma state President, Rohit Seth, Harbans Choudhary, Neelam Sharma, Ravi and Hans Chuni Lal were present on the occasion. |
