| MGNREGA contractual employees seek regularization of service | | |

RAJOURI, May 7: All the contractual employees working under MGNREGA in Rajouri today appealed the Lieutenant Governor, G C Murmu to address their long pending demands of regularization of their service in Rural Development Department.
MGNREGA Employee Association Rajouri in a statement issued here, urged the LG to resolve the long pending demand of regularization of MGNREGA employees against the vacant posts lying in the department. The statement further reads that there are many posts lying vacant in the department and they should be adjusted against these posts as they have been working in the department for the last 12-14 years. “Employees working under MGNREGA are waiting for their regularization and have been working without job security since 2005. Highly educated youth have been working in MGNREGA with full dedication in RDD for years on a meager honorarium which is not enough to support their families ,” a spokesman of the Association said. |
