CAT Bench starts functioning in Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 8: The Jammu Bench of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) started its working from today onwards with all service related matters shall be dealt in the said bench. Earlier, all the service related matters of Jammu and Kashmir were shifted to Chandigarh bench of CAT resulting wide outcry across the Union Territory after which Government ordered setting up a CAT bench in Jammu. A notification of Gazette of India was issued by Government of India on May 28,, in which it was notified that the central government specifies Jammu and Kashmir as the places at which the benches of the Central Administrative Tribunal shall ordinarily sit for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh. Today after inauguration by the MoS in PMO Jitendra Singh, the Bench comprising Judicial Member Rakesh Sagar Jain and Administrative Member Pardeep Kumar take-up six cases. JNF
