Helpless humans

The tales of COVID-19 positive patients and their kith and kin are heartbreaking. Recently a video of an old man, who had tested positive for the deadly virus, dying unattended in a Srinagar hospital sent shockwaves across J&K.
A story of a Kishtwar man, who along with his mother, tested positive after returning from New Delhi, is another heart rendering story. Despite his other family members testing negative for the virus they continue to remain in a quarantine centre in Kishtwar for the past 25-days. The Kishtwar man and his mother have recovered and are waiting for the release of their family members which include kids also but their repeat test report from the laboratory has not come so far. There are many more stories which are heart rendering. Some have been reported and some have gone unreported. Under the given circumstances we can’t blame anyone for the mess as the present COVID-19 times are testing times. So many things are happening and no one has got an idea about how to bring everything back on track. How to save lives and how crucial its to release the people from quarantine.
No one had expected that an invisible virus will throw everything out of gear. Nothing is at its own place. There is chaos and confusion prevalent everywhere. People are talking about economy and GDP but they are ignoring the most important factor i.e. the human beings, who have suffered immensely after the outbreak of the pandemic. The human race across the planet has suffered. Many people like the Srinagar man have died unattended in hospitals and even within their homes across the globe. Similarly, many more people like the Kishtwar man have tested positive and their families have been put under quarantine. These woeful tales have left the humans guessing as they are unable to make out what they should do and what they should not do. The only discussion in every corridor seems to be who is positive and who is negative. One common question which everyone seems to be asking is when will this curve flatten and when will the naked dance of death stop. No one in the world seems to have an answer for it as there are no medicines or vaccines which can cure this deadly virus. People are only hoping that things will become better and this pandemic will pass too.
