JAMMU, June 8: Young Lawyers' Association, J&K High Court, Jammu held a virtual meeting which was attended by President Nitin Bakhshi, Sarvesh Pratap Kotwal, General Secretary Upasana Thakur, Joint Secretary, Suraj Singh Plathia and treasurer Amzi Arthur John.
The members strongly condemned the incident of the attack on advocate Sumrashwar Singh Andotra, by the police officials and said that the same was intentional to harm dignity of profession and even illegally and illegitimately arrested him on June 7. Advocate Andotra was the former President of Young Lawyers Association, Kathua and after talking to the Kathua Bar Association President, Azad Shatru, he assured and decided to go against such kind of heinous act of police, which is an open threat to our profession as well hence not acceptable for whole of the Lawyers fraternity. |
