| Ambulance driver refutes allegations | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, June 17: Driver of Ambulance has refuted the allegations levelled against him in today’s edition of this newspaper whereby it was reported that he dropped the patient midway after discharged from district hospital Poonch.
Driver Mukesh Kumar while talking on cell phone to this correspondent clarified that he was asked to drop a lady patient who was discharged after giving birth to a child from district hospital at Tota Gali.But at the same time there was another patient who too was discharged from the hospital and was looking for some lift as there was no other ambulance available in the hospital premises.
She approached me for the lift and I agreed to give her lift up to the spot I was supposed to go,driver Mukesh Kumar added. The patient had to go Jallian wali Gali so I dropped her at a litle distance away from the spot as there was bad condition of road ahed and secondly she had her own arrangement from that spot he further added.
It is pertinent to mention here that there had been some confusion while filing the report and inadvertently driver Mukesh Kumar was called for an official explanation for his no faults which is regrettable. |
