AAP laments J&K admin for its failure to reform education sector | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 17: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) J&K unit strongly criticized LG administration for promoting its so-called ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ agenda of its Delhi bosses in the field of education without going for urgently required justified reforms. The AAP leaders after a detailed discussion on a mobile phone conferencing targeted one recent tweet of Asgar Samoon, Principal Secretary of School Education, wherein he had spelled out the proposal related to the recruitment policy of plus 2 principals in Higher Secondary Schools @10% quota for ZEOs with PG & BEd, 80% for PG Sr Lecturers and 10% for Sr. Lecturers with PhD degrees. AAP leaders termed his proposal as meaningless and a futile exercise based on obsolete blueprints while ignoring the reasons behind the lapses of school education sector related grants of HRD ministry. It is very strange that how Samoon has ignored the recent figures wherein Directorate of School education lapsed 74% grants meant for development of govt schools?, they added. They further pointed out that why both LG administration and its Principal Secretary deliberately ignored the credible working of school education departments of neighbouring states of Punjab & Himachal Pradesh where for promotion or adjustment as headmaster or Hr Sec plus 2 principal, one has to qualify 3 papers of accounts and 3 papers for civil services rules? After qualifying the said papers, any individual can only possess the capacity to utilize the different grants and other day to day administrative affairs, they added. |
