Jammu, June 19: Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market has decided to boycott the Chinese products including cosmetics, bags, footwear or essential commodities. Condemning China for its “military aggression” along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, which led to the killing of three Indian Soldiers Monday night, the Traders Federation said it has decided to aggressively step up its campaign to boycott Chinese goods. A meeting of the Members of The Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market was held today under the Chairmanship Rattan Lal Mahajan, President in the presence of Sh. Dheeraj Gupta, Sr. Vc. President, Munish Mahajan, Vice President, Deepak Gupta, General Secretary, Abhimanyu Gupta Secretary and Vishal Gupta, Cashier of Federation. Addressing the meeting, Deepak Gupta, General Secretary of the Federation said that Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi Ji had given the slogan of adopting Swadeshi by boycotting foreign things in 1920 and today, after 100 years, Federation is appealing to the people of India to adopt Swadeshi by boycotting all foreign goods including of China. Deepak Gupta said that the government has started its process to eliminate Chinese goods as the 9000 crore rupees tender given to the Chinese firm by BSNL has been cancelled and the private players in the telecommunication industry have been instructed not to use the Chinese equipment’s. “Federation strongly condemns China for their military aggression across the LAC in Ladakh wherein three Indian soldiers lost their lives. In the wake of these continued border skirmishes with China, the Federation has decided to step up its movement against the boycott of Chinese goods,” said Deepak Gupta, while addressing the meeting. “We have more than a dozen trade associations and a network of thousand traders and we will circulate this message to all of them for action. We are also preparing a proposal for the government to look for manufacturing those items for which we have to rely on China,” he said. |
