Apathy pushes Public Health Centre Majalta to Sickness | | | Ashwani Sharma Early Times Report
Udhampur, June 19: Grass and wild growth has come up around the (PHC) public health centre Majalta where a tiled path broken at many places leads to the main entrance. The health centre is well equipped with all basic facilities like inpatient wards, outpatient services, labour room etc. However sources informed that the infrastructure in the health centre are very poorly maintained with no heed towards cleanliness. Rakesh Kumar, a local informed that toilets in the health centre are worst with irritating and intolerable smell and scarcity of water. “One has to enter the health centre carefully as the wild growth is haunted by vicious snakes,” a lady of adjoining village informed. The locals informed that the medical institution is also under staff and the hospital administration taking no interest in maintaining the health centre properly. “In case of any emergency we have to visit this place but as there is no proper facility we feel that the health institution is of no use,” a student said adding that those at the helm should conduct a surprise inspection of this place to see things themselves. Some locals said that Safai Karamcharai and gardener at the health centre and other menial staffers should maintain the cleanliness and cut all wild growth but due to negligence of hospital administration so the medical institution is suffering the neglect. |
