| KFC food outlet functioning in open violation of unlock-2 | | District Admin Samba sleeping? | |  Gurdas Kumar

Samba, July 22: Although all eatable outlets in Samba district have been declared closed but the KFC food outlet has been allegedly found functioning in violation of the norms and silence of concerned administration on this violation has been drawing flak from all quarters.
Sources told Early Times that District Administration in its unlock-2 guidelines has strictly denied permission for opening of all food outlets which serves cooked food items like restaurants, dhabas but shockingly KFC, which is mostly known for its non vegetarian food items, has opened its outlet in Samba district.
“District Administration has allegedly been favouring a particular food outlet while rest of the outlets have been ordered to be shut due to COVID-19 pandemic, which indicates favouritism,” a restaurant owner alleged. People have been buying food items, which can be vindicated from the bill, which is in possession of the Early Times wherein date and time is mentioned but concerned administration has turned blind eye despite the fact that the KFC outlet is on National Highway, they alleged.
This is discrimination with other small food outlets owners, who have been suffering huge loss due to continuous closure of the shops but not taking action against KFC for violation of guidelines, raises fingers on the concerned administration.
When contacted Tehsildar Bari Brahmana admitted that he had received a complaint in this matter and the management of KFC outlet has been warned and if they were found violating guidelines, the outlet will be sealed. |
