Social activist appeal Punjab CM to take action against drug companies | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 23: A social activist Sukesh C. Khajuria has appealed Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh to act against drug companies manufacturing and selling spurious drugs. In a letter written to Punjab CM, the social activist has drawn his attention towards the death of a child and maiming of another child due to administration of spurious drug in Shambhu area of Patiala district. Sukesh C.Khajuria who had earlier highlighted the deaths of infants in Ramnagar area of Udhampur district of J&K in December 2019-January 2020 due to the same drug and taken up the issue of probe & compensation to the affected families with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has asked the Punjab chief minister to immediately intervene in the matter. In his letter, Sukesh C. Khajuria asked the Punjab Chief Minister that it was his constitutional duty to safeguard not only the lives of the citizens but also to provide them justice. |
