DODA, July 23: District administration Doda, led by Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, has launched a massive anti- encroachment drive.
As part of the move, 5 illegal structures built over the prime state land were today demolished in Doda township.
Giving details of exercise, the DC informed that illegal structures were constructed on 27 Kanal prime state land adjoining the main road of Akramabad and Malwas, while taking the advantage of the prevailing situation.
The Revenue Department, after due verification, submitted a report to Deputy Commissioner, and carried out anti encroachment drive.
Two JCB machines were pressed into the service and 05 structures, concrete as well as semi concrete, built on the encroached land were demolished.
The district administration is bracing for strict action against the land Mafia/grabbers across the district in the upcoming days, the DC added.
The DC also informed that a special task force headed by a senior officer has been constituted in the district to identify all the encroached land. “A similar anti encroachment drive will be initiated in to retrieve the identified by the task force”, the DDC added.
