Gandhi Nagar has witnessed real development during last 5 years: Kavinder | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 23: Former Deputy Chief Minister and BJP senior leader, Kavinder Gupta, along with former MLC, Ch Vikram Randhawa, kick started the works of lanes and drains in presence of local Councilor, Sharda Kumari, in Qasim Nagar area in Ward No47 of Gandhi Nagar constituency. Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that a long pending demand of residents of Qasim Nagar has been fulfilled and the construction of same will benefit the locals as a good infrastructure will be provided to the inhabitants of the area. Gupta also appealed the masses to contribute some of their time for keeping their localities clean and green so that our hard working Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is working hard on the mission of "Swachh Bharat" could be achieved and it can only be achieved if we all contribute something towards it. He instructed JMC officials that quality of works should be maintained in the area and stressed upon the local inhabitants to keep vigil on the quality of the material being used during the execution of the developmental works in their area. Later, Kavinder Gupta toured Shigligarh Mohalla, Chatha and during the tour, the inhabitants of the area projected a charter of demands. Gupta gave them patient hearing and assured that all the approved projects would be started soon. Gupta said that the Union Government is also committed to provide all basic amenities like adequate drinking water, power, education, civic and healthcare facilities to the people. During the last five years, the Gandhi Nagar constituency has witnessed the real development at ground level, he said. He also appealed the public to follow the guidelines issued by the Government for controlling the further spread of Corona Virus. |
