JAMMU, July 23: NSS and NCC units of the College organized a three day plantation drive which was inaugurated by Talat Parvez Rohella, Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education Department, Govt of J&K (UT) by planting a tree sapling in the college premises during his visit to the institution.
About 100 saplings of various plants were planted including medicinal plants such as Amla, Neem, Indian Bael, etc. Principal of the college Prof. Hans Raj along with faculty members namely Dr Kuldeep Raj Sharma, Surinder Sharma, Dr Sunil Kumar Saliada, Dr Suraj Parkash, Dalip Kumar, Dr Devika Sharma, Dr Neetika Sharma, Gurvinder Kour, Dr Rajesh Manhas and Goutam Sharma also planted the saplings.
The whole plantation drive was organized by Arun Sharma (ANO NCC) and Gurvinder Kour, NSS Programme Officer of the college. Simultaneously a cleanliness drive was also carried out in the college premises to make the environment healthier.
