KISHTWAR, July 23: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) under the aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM), Kishtwar unit celebrated Guruvandan Karyakram in which the teachers, students, eminent educationists and citizens participated . Shaikshik Mahasangh celebrates Guruvandan programme during 'Gurupurnima' on the eve of jayanti of Maharishi Ved Vyas all over the country every year. The same programme was celebrated by the Kishatwar unit of the Federation. The programme was started by lighting of the traditional lamp. Speaking on the occasion, Satyabushan Sharma, who was the Organizing Secretary, stated the aims and objectives of the Organization. Dr Permendra Singh Senior Scientist SKUAST Jammu, who was the chief spokesperson during his address, said that the main purpose to celebrate Guruvandan karyakram is to uphold and preserve the thousands of years old Indian Guru values, culture and tradition, which developed ancient India as a model society. He said that the ancient Indian society considered Guru as Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar. |
