| Manmohan visits Treva, felicitates Sarpanch Balbir Kour | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 30: President All India Jat Mahasabha (AJMS) J&K, Choudhary Manmohan Singh visited village Treva of Tehsil Bishnah along with Tehsil President AIJMS Sunil Choudhary, General Secretary Ch Sham Lal, Sr VP Surinder Singh, Secy Capt Kamal Choudhary and few other Jat leaders of the area.
The purpose of this visit was to meet with Jat Sarpanch of Treva, Balbir Kour, who was mentioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his recent “Mann Ki Baat” episode, for her dedication and efforts to resolve issues arising due to this pandemic.
Manmohan Singh on this occasion lauded Balbir Kour for her efforts and wished her luck for her future accomplishments. Choudhary presented her with a memento of The Great Jat on behalf of the biradari for her outstanding contribution to the aid of people.
Vijay Choudhary, wife of Manmohan Choudhary and Councilor JMC, honoured Balbir Kour with a shawl. Vijay Choudhary said that as a woman, she feels proud of this moment. Balbir Kour, who belongs to a border belt area, is an MBA Degree holder. Instead of working for corporate sector, she decided to dedicate her education and knowledge to the people of her area, she added/.
Kour is a role model for other girls of our Biradari, who have intent to serve our people but find themselves constrained.
Manmohan Singh said Prime Minister’s mention of Balbir Kour on a national platform has raised the bar of performance for all the other Sarpanchs of area.
