| Residents stage protest against PDD power outages | | |

Jammu, July 30: A large number of residents of Patyali Chak in Marh area today staged a protest demonstration against Power Development Department over the unscheduled power cuts from last few weeks.
The protesters also blocked the main road for about one hour to express their anger towards Power Development Department (PDD) and disrupted vehicular traffic on the road.
Raising slogans against the PDD, the protestors said that they are facing acute power shortage. “The power remains off for 21 hours in a day and the public particularly aged and new born are suffering badly in this hot and humid weather due to the carelessness of PDD employees,” they added.
The protestors appealed to higher authorities of the PDD to take some positive step at the earliest to redress the power related woes of the people of Patyali Chak in Marh area. |
