Urban Forestry Division Jammu conducts plantation drive at Narwal | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 30: Urban Forestry Division Jammu conducted a plantation drive at Gladni Narwal. The drive was conducted by planting ornamental plants at Gladni. K Ramesh Kumar, Chief Conservator of Forests Jammu started the drive by planting saplings of ornamental plants. Vasu Yadav, Managing Director J&K State Forest Corporation also planted sapling during the drive. Simuel Chankjgia, Conservator of Forests East Circle Jammu, Alok Mourya, DFO Jammu, Sunil Singh DFO Urban Jammu and Rakesh Verma Range Officer Sunjwan also planted saplings during the plantation drive. K Ramesh Kumar, Chief Conservator of Forests Jammu said that the drive is a part of Week Long Van Mahotsav which commenced on 27th of July and will last upto 31st July. During the Van Mahostav Week series of plantation drive are to be conducted at different locations of Jammu Province. 1000 plants having ornamental values were planted during the drive so that an aesthetic look is to be given to the road. CCF Jammu informed that efforts are made to beautify Jammu city by planting and maintaining ornamental as well as shade bearing plants. Sunil Singh DFO Urban Jammu informed that Urban Forestry Division has covered whole of Jammu city during these drives. He also requested all to come forward to plant more number of plants.
