JAMMU, July 30: The Government Degree College (GDC), Mahanpur in district Kathua organized a plantation drive in the College Campus to celebrate “Van Mahotsava”. The event was organized by EVS Club of the College in collaboration with the District Social Forestry Kathua who provided Fruit / Medicinal , ornamental and immunity boosting plants.
The plantation drive was inaugurated by Principal of the College Dr Rakesh Kumar Koul along with faculty members, Prof Arvind Kumar (Convener EVS Club), Dr Jogbinder Singh Soodan Physical Director, Saurabh Dutta Librarian, non-teaching staff, students and staff of Social Forestry.
The motive of this drive was to spread awareness among the students to protect the environment and saving our planet Earth , thereby saving humanity.
