Jammu, July 30: Government Degree College (GDC) Bani today organised an Inter college online photography competition to celebrate “World Conservation Day”. The objective of the program was to aware people about the beauty of nature surrounding us and importance of its conservation. It also aims to inspire young minds towards nature photography. The themes of the contest were wildlife (flora and fauna), landscapes and water bodies. The competition was held under the guidance of College Principal, Dr. M. S. Pathania and supervision of Prof. Rajeev Singh, Assistant Prof. EVS, and Dr. Ram Krishan, Asstt. Prof. Mathematics. A total of seventy one students from different colleges of UT of J&K participated in the online Photography Competition. These Photographs were Judged by Rohit Rattan, Associate Coordinator, Western Himalayas, WWF-India, Prof. Suresh Kumar M.A.M College, Jammu and Prof. Arvind Kumar, Govt. Degree College, Mahanpur. E-Certificates were awarded to first 10 winners. Aprajita Sambyal of G.D.C Samba bagged first position, Musharaf Parvez of G.D.C Bani bagged second position, Irfan Ahmed Ganaie of G.D.C Tangmarg (Kashmir) bagged third position, Fourth position was bagged by Jogita Attri of G.D.C Samba and fifth position was bagged by Harish of G.D.C(Boys) Kathua.
