Jammu, Aug 1: Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has opposed the establishment of one more toll plazas in Jammu region at Lakhanpur. General secretary of JKNPP Anita Thakur said that few years ago the Jammu city was famous for temples and it is commonly known as "City of Temples", but now a days from the day BJP holds administrative works firstly in state and now in Union territory of J&K, Jammu now a days converted into a "City of Toll plazas", firstly Ban toll plaza, a gift from State Govt. to Jammu people, then Sarore toll plaza, now Lakhanpur toll plaza. “We also came to know that very soon they will give a gift to us in shape of new toll plaza that will going to be installed near Akhnoor”, he said. Anita said that BJP govt. promised with the people of Jammu region that no discrimination been done with the people of Jammu region and now BJP itself involved in this discriminative practices, that till now three toll plazas were gifted to Jammu region and very soon Akhnoor toll plaza also gifted to Jammu region, and there is only one toll plaza in whole Srinagar region. Anita demanded that administration should extirpate the new toll plazas from Lakhanpur otherwise people of Jammu region will show their power during election by casting their votes against BJP. Anita added that administration is very sharp minded they give contract of Toll plazas to so called gunda elements of Jammu region so that no one raise voice against them and whosoever raises voice against those persons and administration for extirpate toll plazas, they were badly threatened by those gunda elements. She said that the J&K has already been passing through critical times. Instead of taking steps to revive the growth, the government is bent on demolishing the system. The new toll plaza will have a direct check on the growth.
