Jammu, Aug 19: Directorate of School Education Jammu is all set to reconnect students with nature under ‘One Earth One Home’ programme. Director School Education, Anuradha Gupta here said that implementation of digital environment programme ‘One Earth One Home’ (Ek Prithvi Ek Ghar) will begin from September. “The Directorate of School Education, Jammu in partnership with WWF India announces the ‘One Earth One Home’ or ‘Ek Prithvi Ek Ghar’ programme,” said the Director adding that this programme is developed for students from Class 1-8 to reconnect them with nature and build green knowledge and skills, all in the safety of their homes. Content includes engaging videos, virtual nature trails, worksheets and much more, she said and added, “the content will be available in both English and Hindi language for Jammu.” The resource material for the programme will be provided digitally to all CEOs, ZEOs, Principals and teachers by WWF India through DIKSHA portal and Facebook groups, said Ms Gupta adding that all Principals and teachers will be in charge of disseminating the content material and checking on students via WhatsApp and phone calls. One day conference, “One Earth Educator Congress”, scheduled for September 10 is mandatory for the CEOs and Principals, she added.
