Jammu, Aug 19: NHPC Salal Power Station organized a programme with the aim of greening the Jyotipuram residential complex area.
N. Ram, Head of Power Station, Salal Power Station and his wife Mrs. Pushplata inaugurated the program by planting saplings. On this occasion, other officers of NHPC and CISF officers and soldiers, planted around 70 saplings of Amla, Bel, Mango and Guava plants in the residential complex, Jyotipuram to contribute to the success of the program.
Addressing the people present on the occasion, Sh. N. Ram, Head of Power Station said that this initiative of tree plantation should be taken enthusiastically and as a campaign during the monsoon. He said that taking advantage of this season, more and more trees should be planted on the barren land in the township and power station area. |
