UDHAMPUR, Aug 22: Sub-standard material allegedly being used in the construction of Examination Hall building of High School Pachoond in Tehsil Latti of district Udhampur. Pictures regarding this exposure have been made viral on social media by an elected Panch Akshay Malkan of Ward No 6, Panchayat Halqa Pachoond, who claimed that due to the use of sub-standard material in the construction of the building cracks have emerged in the walls while the foundation of the complex is also not strong and the building is sinking. “With all such shocking things in open we cannot expect that the building will last more than a year,” the Panch claimed. The Sarpanch concerned also endorsed the sub-standard theory and fixed responsibility for the wrongdoing on the RDD. “We approached the concerned RDD JE in this regard but nothing has been done till date,” he alleged. While several locals informed that mere plaster is applied on the walls to hide the use of sub-standard building material in the construction of examination hall. “We demand thorough investigation into the misdoing,” they said.
