Jammu, Aug 23: Citizen’s Forum has criticized Dr. Farooq Abdullah for raising the issue of restoration of Article 370.
President R K Chadha asked Farooq Abdullah to let people of J&K UT live in peace which would be achieved in new changed situation in Kashmir. “Remember 1987 elections when before the counting of votes, you met Late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in New Delhi and the election results were changed by then Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, which resulted in militancy in Kashmir”, Chadda said, adding that demands of Kashmiri people, except few, have changed from Azadi to peaceful living and for that statehood restoration could be demanded and not to raise the bogey of Article 370.
“We the people of Jammu are already suffering because of your selfish approach for power and development of Kashmir people where as Jammu equally supported you and suffered discrimination continuously for last 30 years”, he said.
