| Kathua administration starts anti-encroachment drive | | Retrieves 56 kanals of state land | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Aug 26 : Taking immediate cognizance of the encroachment reported on the state land, District Administration Kathua today retrieved 56 kanals of the land in Village Rakh Hoshiayri , Jasrota today.
Deputy Commissioner Kathua O.P. Bhagat informed that the a revenue team headed by Tehsildar Kathua Gourav Sharma, police party equip with JCB machines successfully demolished seven illegal structure on the state land. He added that the very state land was recently identified for proposed Homeopathy Medical College in the district.
The DC said encroachment on any part of the government land and assets will be dealt strictly and defaulters will be booked under law. He assured that such encroachment drives will now be a regular affair, appealed people to co-operate with administration to end the nuisance of encroachment.
