BJP Mahila Morcha organizes plantation drive at Lower Roop Nagar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 26: The month-long plantation drive being organized by the BJP Mahila Morcha to make Jammu ‘Clean and Green’ is in full swing and thousands of saplings have been planted so far across the district. As a part of an ongoing plantation drive which started on July 27 and will conclude on August 27, the saplings were planted on Wednesday at Sant Kabir Park at Lower Roop Nagar. The programme was organized by Mahila Morcha State Incharge Reema Padha on direction of State President Mahila Morcha Sanjita Dogra. Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation who was also present on this occasion appreciated the efforts of Mahila Morcha who have planted thousands of tress across Jammu Province including 75 wards of Jammu and expressed that JMC will leave no stone unturned in making Jammu Clean and Green. “The plantation drive was started on Vanmahotsava last month and the drive will conclude on August 27,” Reema Padha said. She said that throughout the month long drive, thousands of saplings of fruit plants, ornamental, herbal, were planted to make Jammu Clean and Green. |
