Jammu, Sept 3: Jammu Police on Thursday arrested five persons in attempt to murder case of Kanhachak area here on the city outskirts. Police also recovered weapons used in the crime. Police here said that one Rajinder Kumar on August 30, resident of Galwaddey Chak alleged alleging that at about 1930 hours, his nephew namely Vishal Sharma while on evening walk, was attached by a group of 5 to 6 persons out of which two persons were recognized by him and were identified as Lucky Kumar alias Kata of Kahna Chak and Vijay Kumar alias Chitu of Lalyal. “All of them jointly restrained his way and attacked upon him with sharp-edged weapons with the intention of murder due to which he received multiple injuries.” he lodged in the complaint, as per the police. A case was registered at police station Kahna Chak and investigation started. Police further said that during the the course of investigation number of teams were constituted for the search and arrest of accused persons and on the same night, at about 1230 hours, the accused person namely Lucky Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Rohit Singh alias Johni, Bharat Bhushan alias Boni were arrested from Sua No 1. “On September 2, the fifth accused identified as Raj Baber Singh alias Babru of Kukrian, Tehsil Marh, District Jammu, involved in attempt to Murder case was also arrested from Hari Singh Garth,” police said adding that all weapons, used for stabbing the victim, were also recovered while further investigation into the case are in progress.
