ABVP castigates JKBOSE for discriminatory order, demands justice for Jmu students

UDHAMPUR, Sep 6 A delegation comprising of students and activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad led by ABVP Udhampur City Joint Secretary Gagan Sharma visited JKBOSE Sub-Office Udhampur and submitted q memorandum highlighting students’ issues to JKBOSE Chairman through Deputy Secretary JKBOSE.
Gagan Sharma said that students of Summer Zone of Jammu Province are disappointed after the discriminatory order of JKBOSE which was issued on 31 August 2020, that Re-Appear bi-annual students of 10th/12th class in Winter Zone and Kashmir Province will be given relaxation due to Corona Pandemic and those have passed minimum two subjects in 10th/12th class exams, will be declared pass by giving the average marks of their already passed subjects, so that the precious one year of students could not be wasted. JKBOSE also issued date sheet for those who are failed in all subjects or passed the only one subject in 10th/12th for Kashmir Province students.
JKBOSE completely ignored the students of Jammu Province since no such type of relaxation is given to the bi-annual students of Summer Zone(Jammu Province) and no date sheet is issued for these students, the result of which students are disappointed as their one precious year is going to be wasted. Their exams were supposed to be conducted in July 2020, but till today JKBOSE could not even issued date sheet for Summer Zone students. The admissions in colleges will be closed shortly and so the career of these students is at stake.
Gagan said that ABVP Udhampur demands that JKBOSE must leave the discriminatory attitude with Summer Zone students and a new notification must be issued for relaxation to these students as given to students of Kashmir Province and Winter Zone, in interest of students future.
ABVP will fight tooth and nail till if justice is not provided to Jammu Province students, he added.
