| Charas recovered, 2 arrested | | |

Jammu, Sept 6: Akhnoor Police have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered charas from their possession during a routine check on Saturday.
On yesterday evening police party of Police Station Akhnoor headed by Sub Inspector Satish Chander during naka checking at Khugga naka, intercepted one scooty, the rider of the scooty identified as Vikas Sharma and pillion rider disclosed his name as Roshan Lal both resident of Akhnoor. Further on frisking of the individuals, charas was recovered from the possession.
Subsequently case FIR no. 139/2020 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered. Both the accused persons were arrested on the spot and recovered material seized. The action of police was highly appreciated by the general public of the area. |
