Doctor, 3 other suspended, inquiry ordered after molestation charge by a girl in Shopian | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Sept 6: A Doctor and three other staff members of a primary health centre were suspended after molestation charges by a girl in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said on Sunday. However, police said no case has so far been registered since no complaint has been received. Sources said massive protests erupted after a girl from village Aloora alleged that a doctor tried to molest her in a Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Harmain in Shopian. Later, the agitated villagers locked the PHC after doctor and other staff members managed to escape. They said Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Shopian Dr Ramesh Malla after receiving the complaint suspended doctor and other staff members till pending inquiry. CMO has constituted a committee to investigate the matter. Dr Malla has said that further stern action would be taken after receiving inquiry report.
