Srinagar, Sept 6: A Srinagar resident disguising as a doctor in the frontier district of Kupwara was arrested by the police on Sunday, a police spokesman said. He said complaints were received that a person having fake certificates was practicing as general physician in a clinic at Kupwara. Police acted swiftly and arrested the impersonator identified as Masood Ahmad Khan, a resident of Natipora, Srinagar, at Kupwara. He was running a clinic at main town Kupwara for the last one month and used attend the patients every Sunday. The accused in the name plate had introduced himself as “Dr M A Khan, (MBBS, MD, DM Gastroenterology)”. He said an FIR has been registered and investigation taken up.
Official sources said he was running several clinics in the city and other places. |
