Jammu, Sept 6: All J&K1947 POJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum (POJKSIF) reiterated their demand of approval of Punjabi language as an official language in J&K UT. Forum President Advocate Amrik Singh urged upon the Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha and appealed him to reconsider their earlier decision and include Punjabi as an official language like Hindi, English, Dogri and Kashmiri. While elaborating Adv. Amrik Singh said that Punjabi is not related with any particular religion it is the language of every northern Indian and almost more than 70% northern Indians speaks Punjabi in their living homes. |
