Cong seeks probe, extends support to judge Suresh Sharma in temple land row | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 9: Congress today reiterated its stand to seek high level probe into the conspiracy behind illegal and clandestine tendering of the commercial complex and parking in historic Panjbakhtar temple land and extended full support to the caretaker appointed by the High Court judge Suresh Sharma but stayed away from the thanks giving meeting, convened by him today evening. In a communication to judge Suresh Sharma in response to the invitation to the Congress party for the today's meet called by him, to the express thanks those who extended support in the matter, Congress party conveyed him the decision to stay away from the meet but extended fullest support for the cause of the revered temple and faith of crores of devotees. In a letter on behalf of the party, chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma wrote to him that the party is committed to extend support and carry on the struggle for high level enquiry to expose those behind the illegal and clandestine exercise. He appreciated his efforts for the protection of temple property and for bringing the illegality into public domain. The Congress said that issue of high level probe and certain other questions relating to the controversy are still wide open, which have to be pursued vigorously by all those sincere to the cause and the struggle has to continue, he conveyed to judge Sharma, making it clear that the controversy is not over yet in the temple land row.
