| GVM Block Mandal Phalain demands release of funds to MGNREGA vendors | | |  Early times Report
Jammu, Sept 9: Gramin Vikas Manch bock Mandal Phalain demanded release of funds to the vendors of MGNREGA .Chairman of the Manch Sawaran Singh requested Lieutenant Governor of the JK UT to intervene in the matter to release the payments.
The members of the Manch assembled in the Mini Stadium Bhure Chack and raised slogans against the Rural development Department for not releasing the payments of the works done under the MGNREGA. He said that many works in the area were completed under the MGNREGA but the department failed to release the payments of the works done due to which nor only Vendors but the labourers are also facing hardships. The RDD failed to make the payments of the works done in the year 2015- 16, 2016-17,2017-18.
President of the Manch Vijay Kumar said that they completed the works as per the demand of the RDD but no payments were made to them by the department, which forced them to sell their belonging to make the payments for the material used.
They demanded LG to intervene in the matter and ask the department to release the payments. Those who present on this occasion were Krishan Gopal, Jagdish Raj, Rajinder Kumar (Bunty) Arjun Choudhary. |
